Week 3 & 4 of Post-Production

Week Three of Post-Production:

I sent out to everyone what I needed from them for the EPK as this is one of my responsibilities for the project. I sent questions over to Javier the director to answer as well as asking Emma and Jess to write their own section for the EPK! When it came to the profiles for everyone, I wrote the actor and actresses. It was really fun creating a moody EPK that fit our cinematic style!

Week Four of Post-Production

During this week I have been in and out of the edit suit as well as popping over to Javier the director house to check the editing process. I helped download music has I have a licences for Artlist, I was sent what songs they wanted and I would just downloaded them and transfer them via teams.

During this week we were all sent different drafts of the film throughout the week to give notes and feedback on. Below you can see one of my list of feedback;

Footsteps at 2:30 sound really and. I’d just get rid of them and use the ones before again!

3:51 Elizabeth voice echos. Delete one of the of the tracks

Every time it goes from one audio to another is make a blip noice

The phone needs to be lower During the phone conversation there need to be room tone sound. I’m 100% sure Danay record this. Cause when we hold on James but madeleine is talking, the room tone disappears. It just sounds weird She needs her rest sound very different from what the rest of the scene sounds like. Lower it?

And we need room tone for all the scenes. Even if it’s one that we find online James good bye doesn’t match his lips Also you can see the letterbox ending.

7:45 it goes all black?

9:37 mr miller oiii is a different to everything else!

You really need to put a transition of the sound cause it keeps making the blip noice and it gets really obvious the longer it goes on. She says “what” twice at 10:23 and it happens again at 10:26 with detective foster

Again voice at 10:33 is much lower.

There’s a weird cut at 11:48-11:49

Linda’s audio is gone at 12:20-12:21

The music fade-out sounds a bit odd at 14:27 (I would start fading it out when you say upper and shut case) so when he says “so it would seem” it’s nearly quiet

15:39 the music need to be faded in much earlier. It’s so abrupt and the leaves goes up and down. Keep it low! (But I love the tone!)

16:15 “relax line” is very weird, it doesn’t sound like it belongs. And there’s a blip again.

Loads of blips throughout the murder scene. Every time the audio changes.

17:52 you can hear the very end of action. That needs to be taking away!

Blip sound again during the last beach scene! Needs background noice as well, like beach waves. Ambiance! The music at the end needs to start a bit earlier and be faded in.

But well done! It’s looking much better! Now it’s just the sound and colour grading!
