After many weeks of planning we were finally able to put all our hard work into practice! The day started off with Amelia and I going food shopping for the actors. Stocking the fridge and cupboards with food and snacks. We also go each actor an Easter egg just as a thank you gesture. We also had to bear in mind as we have one pescatarian and one vegan.
After shopping, Amelia and I picked up Jamie from the train station and took all her things up to my flat. The check-in for the cottage was at 4pm so we had 3 hours to occupy ourselves. We took Jamie for lunch and then to the cathedral. At 4pm drove up with all the equipment to the cottage. Around 5pm I went and picked Jasmin arrived and unplacked all her stuff.
We got set up in the bathroom for the first day of filming. The first scenes to be shoot was the bathroom scene with James (Andre) and Elisabeth (Jamie). The second scene where James talking to Madeleine over the phone. During this shoot I was preparing the dinner for the actresses as the space that was used for filming was too small for all of us. So the people that were present in these scenes were Jessica, Javier and Danay. This delayed the shoot as there was only the director who would run and get lenses etc.
Due to a misunderstanding there were further delays as its was filmed in the wrong codec. Having filmed both scenes, the director and cinematographer realised that they weren’t filming through the monitor with the correct 4.2.2 Codec. There was no point in rendering the footage taken during these who scenes. Luckily we were able to re-shoot the phone scene with James during the first day after having a vegan lasagne. I had also made sure that we had a spared day for re-shoots on the Monday, where we filmed the bath scene again.
